Jack Eichel scored two goals and notched an assist in a Sabres 5-2 beatdown of the Toronto Maple Leafs in NHL action on Hockey Night in Canada. In a Buffalo arena packed with visiting Leafs fans, Torontonians were sent back across the border dissatisfied with their team's effort after the Leafs scored only two goals on the night. Connor Brown and Auston Matthews scored for Toronto, Matthews' goal tying a Leafs rookie goal scoring record set by legend Wendel Clark.
