Rob Kerr hosted The Big Show live from Alberta Marine in Nanton on Thursday, a now permanent drop-off location for the Comrie Sports Equipment Bank where you can drop off lightly used sporting goods so they can get to individuals in need. They're running a contest right now where every time you drop off gets you a ballot entered in a contest to win a day of fishing with former Flame Brian Mcgrattan. Brian joined Rob on the show to talk about the endeavor, as well as the other charitable functions he is keeping busy with.

Alberta Marine in Nanton is a permanent drop off location for used sports equipment that will be picked up by Comrie Sports Equipment Bank and on Thursday The Big Show went live from their location. They were joined by Rusty from High River who is playing with the High River Junior B Flyers who will host a dinner with Clint Malarchuk on August 18th for a Sportsman Dinner at the Heritage Inn hosted by Rob Kerr or Pat Steinberg to honor Dennis McGuire who is an 81 year old goalie and cancer survivor for the Junior B Flyers.

Virk: Some players think the balls are juiced

During Wednesday's game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox starting Pitcher Aaron Sanchez was pulled from the game early, with a blister problem again. Adnan Virk of ESPN joined Will Nault on The Big Show and one of the questions asked was about the balls being different, which may be leading to pitcher blisters and more home runs. They also talked about the Blue Jays trade market as well as some of the other trades completed already.

Atlanta Lawyer Brian Douglas on the OJ Simpson Parole Hearing

On Thursday OJ Simpson dominated headlines as he was granted parole after over eight years in prison for a Las Vegas hotel heist, meaning he could be released as early as October 1st. The 70-year old Simpson was convicted in 2008 of an armed robbery involving two sports memorabilia dealers, and if released on October 1st, will have served the minimum nine years of a 33-year sentence. To talk about the nationally televised parole hearing Kelly Kirch is joined by Atlanta based lawyer Brian Douglas from Brian M. Douglas & Associates LLC.

On Friday it's the Sutter Fund Golf Tournament at Riverbend Golf Course with all the proceeds going to the Sutter Fund. The Sutter Fund has donated approximately $2,000,000 into Central Alberta since it was started in 1996. The weekend doesn't end there for Brian and the Sutter family, as the entire family is set to be inducted into the Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame, with the Awards Gala on Sunday in Canmore. Rob Kerr will be in Canmore for the event and he spoke to Brian on The Big Show about both of these events and The Sutter Fund.
