Pic staying in the picture?
Belgian driver Jerome d'Ambrosio lasted only one season with Marussia Virgin Racing.
Formula One team Marussia may decide to keep French rookie driver Charles Pic beyond the 2012 season.
Marussia was previously known as Virgin Racing and ousted drivers Lucas di Grassi (2010) and Jerome d'Ambrosio (2011) after only one season each.
Team chief executive Andy Webb told the Daily Mail he thinks there’s "long-term potential" for the 21-year-old Pic.
"I'm looking really to see if he can go forward for more than one year," Webb said.
Webb's confidence in Pic could be a setback for Toronto native Robert Wickens, who served as the team’s reserve driver in 2011 and is looking to crack the F1 roster.
