TORONTO -- The Toronto Blue Jays acquired left-handed pitcher Dana Eveland from the Oakland Athletics on Saturday.

In exchange the A's will get a player to be named later or cash considerations.

The moves comes a day after the Jays added some depth to their bullpen by signing closer Kevin Gregg to a one year deal.

Eveland appeared in 13 games last season for Oakland, making nine starts and posted a 2-4 record with a 7.16 earned-run average.

He was originally drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 16th round in 2002. In parts of five seasons with Milwaukee, Arizona and Oakland, Eveland posted a 13-17 record with one save and a 5.54 ERA in 83 games, 44 starts.
