Perhaps the most loaded position this fantasy season is second base.

Fantasy managers will likely be able to wait until the fifth or sixth rounds to secure Aaron Hill, who propelled to fantasy stardom last season. That makes the likes of Dan Uggla, Howie Kendrick, and Placido Polanco great players to target in the later rounds.

As far as the top sleepers, keep an eye on Rockies prospect Ian Stewart as well as Mariners veteran Jose Lopez. They each blasted 25 homeruns last season, but will be drafted much later than several of their peers.

Here's a look at the Top 20 second basemen in fantasy baseball.

Chase Utley, 2B Phillies

The Phillies franchise player offers power, speed and average. Though his power dipped last season, Utley is coming off a career high 23 steals.

Ian Kinsler, 2B, Rangers

The Rangers slugger joined the 30-30 club last season, but fantasy managers should note that he has yet to play as many as 145 games in a season. That should either be a concern because of his injury-prone nature, or a positive considering Kinsler has yet to show what type of production he can offer in a full season.

Dustin Pedroia, 2B, Red Sox

The former AL MVP put together a fine season with 115 runs, 15 homeruns, 20 steals, and a .296 average. He's a safe bet for all-around production.

Brandon Phillips, 2B, Reds

At 29 years of age, Phillips has yet to repeat his magical 2007 season when he blasted 30 homeruns and stole 32 bases. Nonetheless, he still remains better than most with back-to-back 20-20 seasons.

Robinson Cano, 2B, Yankees

Inconsistency is all that keeps Cano from securing a top three spot on the second base ranking. The 27-year-old middle infielder is fresh off a sensational '09 season that included 25 homeruns, 103 runs, and a .320 average.

Aaron Hill, 2B, Blue Jays

Where did that come from? Hill returned from an injury plagued '08 season to establish career highs with 36 homeruns, 108 RBI, and 103 runs scored.

Ben Zobrist, 2B, Rays

Zobrist earned himself a starting gig after offering the Rays 27 homeruns, 91 RBI, 91 runs, and 17 stolen bases. The 29-year-old has every shot at repeating that production now that he has a firm grasp of the second base position.

Brian Roberts, 2B, Orioles

The Orioles second baseman has demonstrated remarkable consistency over the years, however, there is some new concerns as the 32-year-old rehabs from a back injury after already dropping off in steals in back-to-back seasons.

Jose Lopez, 2B/3B/1B, Mariners

The Mariners second baseman offers plenty of power after blasting 25 homeruns with 96 RBI last season. Just 26-years-old, there should be plenty of more productive seasons forthcoming for Lopez.

Howie Kendrick, 2B, Angels

Though injuries limited his '09 season to 105 games, Kendrick established career highs with 61 runs, 10 homeruns, 61 RBI, and 11 steals. Expect his average to spike north of .300 this season.

Ian Stewart, 2B, Rockies

One of my favorite sleepers this season, Stewart looks to improve as an all-around hitter after blasting 25 homeruns with just a .228 average in his first full major league season.

Dan Uggla, 2B, Marlins

The all-or-nothing option at second base, Uggla has tremendous power having never hit fewer than 27 homeruns in his four-year career. Unfortunately, Uggla hit just .243 last season and offers very little in the way of steals.

Adsrubal Cabrera, 2B/SS, Indians

The 24-year-old Indians second baseman has improved dramatically over the years, most recently establishing career highs with 81 runs, 17 steals, and a .308 average.

Placido Polanco, 2B/3B, Phillies

Polanco returns to the Phillies as a third baseman, but with second base eligibility. The veteran should offer decent run production and a high average.

Rickie Weeks, 2B, Brewers

Injuries have set Weeks back over the last few seasons, but when healthy the Brewers second baseman offers the prized combination of power and speed. He also owns a paltry career average of .247.

Martin Prado, 2B/3B, Braves

The Braves super utility man should get to play often this season, which will reward his fantasy managers with a solid average and 15 homerun power.

Casey McGehee, 2B/3B, Brewers

McGehee came out of nowhere to blast 16 homeruns with 66 RBI and a .301 average. The popular thought is that he overachieved, though he will get a shot at playing third base regularly this season before power prospect Mat Gamel earns the gig.

Clint Barmes, 2B/SS, Rockies

He may eventually give way to the speedy Eric Young, but for now, fantasy managers can take relief that Barmes' stellar defence will earn him the second base job. Last season, Barmes established career highs with 23 homeruns and 76 RBI, though he struggles in the average category.

Freddy Sanchez, 2B, Giants

Injuries marred his transition out of Pittsburgh, but Sanchez is a professional hitter capable of .300.

Orlando Hudson, 2B, Twins

Hudson fell out of favor in Los Angeles after a superb start to the season. While he can offers a decent average and score some runs, Hudson lacks both power and speed.
