A special Jays season. A special edition.

The ending might not have been a perfect one, but these Toronto Blue Jays have had a unique 2015. And we thought we’d pay them tribute with a special edition of Sportsnet magazine–on newsstands today–commemorating the team’s wild and wonderful season.

SN COVER (JAYS) Print

From a heartbreaking Spring training injury to Marcus Stroman, to scuffling out of the gate, to a June that saw the bandwagon empty out, then a flurry of late-July deals for superstars, an August and September surge the likes of which Major League Baseball had never seen before, that remarkable Marcus Stroman comeback and–at long last!–an AL East title and a stunning ALDS comeback, the Jays regular season had as much drama as baseball can pack into 162 games.

So we thought we’d put it all together and give you something to remember it by. On newsstands and in subscribers’ mailboxes starting today, this issue’s 24-page pullout goes inside the team’s incredible regular season, featuring a map of every home run hit, Jays hitters breaking down the team’s rotation, exclusive sit downs with Roberto Osuna, Russell Martin and David Price, Kevin Pillar choosing his favourite Kevin Pillar fielding gem, the strange stories behind the team’s choreographed celebrations and a whole lot more. Oh, and that cover.

If that wasn’t enough, elsewhere in the magazine you’ll also find Stephen Brunt on John Gibbons, Scott Feschuk on the bat flip heard around the world, an editorial on the beauty of playoff baseball and photos from the epic ALDS comeback that you won’t see anywhere else.

And that cover. Did we mention that cover?

So grab ahold of this one, and pack it away somewhere, because despite the ending, you’re not going to want to forget 2015. Heck, we’re pretty sure you couldn’t if you tried.
