Team photo days in spring training are always good for a nugget or two. Each year a player will show up with wild facial hair or a crazy haircut that sticks with them all season in the form of headshots used on television broadcasts.
On Wednesday, the Tampa Bay Rays gifted the world with this beauty: Bearded Colby Rasmus.
Then, just as the Twitter jokes started flying, the Rays posted this picture of a clean-shaven Rasmus.
Was it the team’s plan to get us all going, then pull the carpet out from under us? Or was it a reaction to the social media roasting of Rasmus? Guess we’ll never know.
