The Toronto Blue Jays made a minor roster move Tuesday, claiming right-handed pitcher Donn Roach off waivers from the Cincinnati Reds.

To make room on the 40-man roster for Roach, the Blue Jays transferred outfielder Michael Saunders from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.

Roach, 25, was designated for assignment by the Reds after posting a 2-4 record with a 6.00 ERA in seven starts for triple-A Louisville. The right-hander began the 2015 campaign with the Chicago Cubs organization, registering a 2.33 ERA in 15 starts at the triple-A level before he was claimed by the Reds off waivers on July 13.

Roach was originally selected by the Los Angeles Angels in the third round of the 2010 MLB Draft.

He is scheduled to report to triple-A Buffalo this week.
