Blue Jays fire Vancouver Canadians manager after championship season

The Toronto Blue Jays have relieved Rich Miller of his duties as manager of the Vancouver Canadians.

Miller is coming off a season in which he led short-season-A Vancouver to a Northwest League championship and was named NWL manager of the year.

He had been with the Blue Jays organization since 2010, also winning a title with the Canadians in 2011.
