Blue Jays’ Francisco Liriano to start Friday vs. Yankees

Troy Tulowitzki hit a grand slam as the Blue Jays trounced the Reds 17-2 for their biggest victory of the season so far.

Toronto Blue Jays starter Francisco Liriano will make his return to the mound on Friday against the New York Yankees.

Liriano last pitched for the Blue Jays on May 10.

The lefty was put on the disabled list with inflammation in his pitching shoulder.

Toronto has been getting closer and closer to full health in the last week.

Infielders Josh Donaldson and Troy Tulowitzki returned from DL stints, while starter J.A. Happ was activated by the team on Tuesday.

The Blue Jays have won six of their last seven contests.
