Blue Jays’ Josh Donaldson exits game with strained calf

Watch as Josh Donaldson pulls up after a ground out and eventually leaves the game due to an apparent leg injury.

Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson left Wednesday’s afternoon game against the Tampa Bay Rays with a calf strain.

Donaldson appeared to have been limping up the first base line after he hit a soft grounder. Darwin Barney took his place in the bottom half of the seventh inning.

Before exiting, Donaldson hit a three-run home run in the top of the third inning. After rounding the bases, Donaldson appeared to be in some discomfort when he returned to the dugout.
