Blue Jays release Choate, former all-star Delabar

Mike Wilner and Barry Davis talk about the Blue Jays’ decision to release Steve Delabar and how the team is dealing with options in the outfield.

The Toronto Blue Jays have parted ways with right-hander Steve Delabar, releasing the former all-star reliever on Tuesday morning.

Delabar, 32, appeared in 55 games for the Blue Jays in 2013 during his all-star campaign. In 2014 and 2015 though, he only pitched in 30 and 31 games, respectively.

He was not expected to make the big league roster out of spring training this year.

Veteran left-hander Randy Choate was also released by the Blue Jays on Tuesday.
