Toronto Blue Jays infielder Ryan Goins is back in the lineup one day after leaving a game against the Tampa Bay Rays with an injury.

Goins bruised his forearm while sliding into second base in the bottom of the sixth inning. He was removed from the game, causing Darwin Barney to shift to shortstop and Rob Refsnyder to enter and play second base.

Goins will play shortstop and bat eighth in Thursday’s finale of a four-game set with the Rays. Jose Bautista and Kevin Pillar are not part of the starting nine.
