Toronto Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman will throw a bullpen on Wednesday to determine if he can make his next start.
The right-hander was struck on the right elbow by a Mark Trumbo line drive during a start against the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday night.
Stroman was in visible pain after being hit and was down on the field for several minutes. Toronto trainers and bench coach DeMarlo Hale, who was subbing in for manager John Gibbons, came out to check on his condition.
The 26-year-old had given up two hits over 1 2/3 innings while striking out three before being removed.
Despite being taken out of the game, Stroman was adamant after the game on making his next start.
