TORONTO — The Toronto Blue Jays juggled their rotation in a move that will provide Mark Buehrle with additional rest and bump David Price’s next outing ahead by a day.

Price will now start on regular rest against the Baltimore Orioles Saturday with Buehrle starting Sunday on six days’ rest. The veteran left-hander, now just 29 innings shy of reaching the 200-inning plateau for the 15th consecutive time, acknowledged after his last start that he’s feeling banged up. While that’s not unusual at this point in the season, the Blue Jays will err on the side of caution by waiting until Sunday.

Drew Hutchison opens a three-game series against the Orioles Friday against Ubaldo Jimenez, setting up Price and Buehrle. The same day, Marcus Stroman is scheduled to throw a side session as his bid to return from a torn ACL continues. The right-hander, who struck out seven in 4.2 innings at Class-A Lansing Wednesday, is slated to make one more rehab start before re-joining the Blue Jays.

Juggling the starting rotation isn’t going to get any easier in the coming weeks, but for the Blue Jays that’s a good problem to have.
