The Toronto Blue Jays have traded minor league left-hander Wade LeBlanc to the Seattle Mariners for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

LeBlanc, 31, signed with the Blue Jays in December and has been impressive this season in triple-A Buffalo, posting a 7-2 record with a league-best 1.71 ERA in 14 starts. He’s struck out 85 batters and walked just 21 in 89.2 innings.

LeBlanc has spent parts of seven seasons in the majors, accumulating a 4.47 ERA in 107 games. He last appeared at the big-league level for the Los Angeles Angels in 2014, before spending the following season pitching for the Seibu Lions in Japan.
