sportsnet.ca takes a look at the Toronto Blue Jays’ position players. In 92 games last season, Bautista hit 27 home runs and will be looking to build on that total. (CP/Nathan Denette) Jose Bautista finally has enough firepower alongside him to make a series run at a World Series title.

The Toronto Blue Jays will have Jose Reyes in the lineup Wednesday.

Melky Cabrera was having a career season, before his year came to a crashing halt after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs. The 2012 All-Star Game MVP is another potent threat for the revamped Blue Jays’ offence. (CP/Nathan Denette)

Edwin Encarnacion carried the Blue Jays offence for much of last season, and will be counted upon to build on his career year. With 42 home runs, and 110 RBI, if Encarnacion can replicate the same numbers it would be a resounding success. (CP/Nathan Denette)

Adam Lind may never approach his career-best season in 2009, but he is a solid contributor to the Blue Jays’ offence. Much of the pressure will be off Lind, with new additions Melky Cabrera and Jose Reyes supplanting some of his responsibility. (CP/Nathan Denette)

Emilio Bonifacio joins the Toronto Blue Jays as part of a massive trade with the Miami Marlins in the off-season. In just 64 games, Bonifacio stole 30 games last season and will be an asset on the base paths for the Jays. (CP/Nathan Denette)

Brett Lawrie is expected to be activated from the DL Tuesday.

Maicer Izturis will provide a spark off of the bench for the Toronto Blue Jays. After spending his last eight years with the Los Angeles Angels, Izturis comes from a winning environment and his leadership will certainly be an asset. (CP/Nathan Denette)
