Ortiz says Boston becoming ‘(bleep)-hole’

The eight-time All-Star is making his way back from a strained right Achilles tendon that limited him to 90 games last season. Red Sox manager John Farrell on Monday said Oritz is "not ready for that next phase." Initially, Boston thought Ortiz would be able to resume activities in about a week.

The trials and tribulations of the Boston Red Sox caused David Ortiz to voice his displeasure with the club on Thursday afternoon.

As Ortiz and his teammates prepared to wrap up a three-game set with the Miami Marlins, ‘Big Papi’ spoke to reporters in the clubhouse.

"I’m just tired [of dealing] with the drama here,” he said. “This is baseball, man … We’re supposed to have fun …

"It’s starting to become the [bleep]hole it used to be,” he said of playing in Boston. “Playing here used to be so much fun. Now it’s something new every day."
