Gotta See It: Cubs, Diamondbacks stage epic rain delay dance-off

Watch as the Chicago Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks kill time during a rain delay.

Rain delays typically make for a boring time.

Every now and then a player will jump on the tarp and treat it like a Slip-N-Slide. But we’ve seen that so many times that it’s become played out.

On Thursday, relievers on the Chicago Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks decided to take things to another level. And what resulted is an epic, hilarious piece in baseball’s history.

The afternoon contest at Wrigley Field in Chicago was beset by multiple rain delays, but the bullpens came prepared. First, the Cubs donned some interesting masks, which was followed by D-backs left-hander T.J. McFarland putting on his uniform upside down and dancing.

The best was yet to come, though, including: A choreographed bobsled show, a hilarious fishing mime and a human bowling demonstration.
