Blue Jays’ Happ out for rest of 2012 season

The Blue Jays lost another starting pitcher in the rotation as the team placed J.A. Happ on the disabled list with a fractured right foot.

Happ is expected to miss four months and will be out for the rest of the 2012 season.

The 29-year-old had been one of Toronto’s most consistent pitchers since being acquired from the Houston Astros in a 10-player deal on July 20.

Happ had a 3-2 record with a 4.46 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 40.1innings since joining the Blue Jays.
