The Toronto Blue Jays have placed infielder Brett Lawrie on the 15-day disabled list, the club announced in Monday.
Lawrie left Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds in the middle of the second inning with a broken right index finger after being hit by a pitch.
The Jays also announced they have recalled outfielders Anthony Gose and Kevin Pillar from triple-A Buffalo. Catcher Erik Kratz has been optioned to the Bisons.
Gose has appeared in 34 games with the Blue Jays this season, batting .233 with four extra base hits and four RBI.
Pillar has appeared in 24 games with the Blue Jays this season, batting .243 with three extra base hits.
