Former MLB pitcher Kris Benson is in the midst of what’s turning out to be a nasty divorce and it took a scary turn over the weekend when he was forced to call the police.

Benson’s soon-to-be ex-wife Anna, allegedly confronted Benson at his home Sunday demanding money and she did so while wearing a bulletproof vest, an ammunition belt and carrying a gun.

According to the police report, Anna smashed a computer with a metal baton she was wielding. Kris reportedly told her he was going to get her the money, but he left the room and called 911 instead.

Police responded to the call and took Anna into custody.

The police report reveals Anna has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime and criminal trespassing.

She is being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Facility in Georgia.

The two have been in the public eye for years and have an infamous relationship. Anna starred on the reality show Baseball Wives that featured the spouses of professional baseball players.

She has accused Kris of infidelity in the past and once told Howard Stern on his radio show that if he cheated on her she would sleep with all his teammates.

Kris Benson, 38, spent 11 years in the majors, breaking into the league with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1999. Benson also spent time New York Mets, Baltimore Orioles, Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks before retiring in 2011.
