NEW YORK — Pitcher Matt Harvey and the New York Mets reached a one-year deal for $4,325,000 on Friday, rather than going to salary arbitration.

The Mets also settled with four other players. They exchanged arbitration figures with first baseman Lucas Duda and three others.

Harvey made $614,125 last year while going 13-8 with a 2.71 ERA in his first season back from Tommy John surgery. Harvey can make additional $25,000 for pitching 200 innings — he threw 189 1/3 last year amid much talk about an innings limit — and $25,000 for winning the Cy Young Award.

Also settling with the Mets on one-year deals were shortstop Ruben Tejada ($3 million) and relievers Addison Reed ($5.3 million), Carlos Torres ($1.05 million) and Josh Edgin ($625,000).

Duda hit a team-leading 27 home runs for the NL champions. He asked for $7.4 million and the Mets offered $5.9 million.

Closer Jeurys Familia (asked for $4.8 million, offered $3.3 million), newly acquired second baseman Neil Walker ($11.8 million/$9.4 million) and reliever Jenrry Mejia ($2,595,000/$2,345,000) joined Duda also traded arbitration numbers.
