The MLB playoff push is our daily look back and ahead at the post-season picture as teams position themselves for October.
Latest on the Blue Jays: The Toronto Blue Jays are back in the win column after Saturday’s impressive outing from J.A. Happ against the Boston Red Sox. The lefty went six innings allowing four hits and two runs, getting Toronto to within one game of Boston for the AL East lead.
Aaron Sanchez is going to try and match Happ’s game with a quality start of his own on Sunday. A victory today will not only lead to a series win for the Blue Jays, but will also put them in a tie with the Red Sox for first place with only 20 games to go.
