Latest on the Blue Jays: Marcus Stroman and the Toronto Blue Jays have pulled themselves within one game of the Royals for tops in the American League following a win against Boston and Kansas City’s extra-innings loss to the Tigers. With a win and a Royals loss on Saturday, the Blue Jays would move into first place as they hold the tiebreaker after winning the season series against Kansas City. The Royals, however, have an easy assignment Saturday as they face former Blue Jay Matt Boyd and his 8.02 ERA.
