The MLB playoff push is our daily look back and ahead at the post-season picture as teams position themselves for October.
Latest on the Blue Jays: Thanks to another great David Price outing and some clutch relief work, the Toronto Blue Jays were able to take the opener of their crucial final series against the New York Yankees and extend their AL East lead to 3.5 games. At the same time, Toronto also made up a half game on Kansas City, who didn’t play Monday night, for the best record in the American lead and trail the Royals by only 1.5 games.
