TORONTO — Blue Jays starter Brandon Morrow was pulled early from Tuesday’s game against the Atlanta Braves due to forearm soreness.

The right-hander lasted just two innings and allowed four runs, two of them earned, and four hits. Morrow was replaced by reliever Ramon Ortiz.

Morrow laboured through the 47-pitch outing and the velocity on his fastball was lower than normal.

The team said the right-hander was removed from the game as a precaution but he’s still expected to make his next start Sunday in San Diego.
