SEATTLE — Bartolo Colon of the New York Mets has a perfect game through six innings against the Seattle Mariners.

Colon has retired all 18 batters he faced Wednesday. He has struck out four and has thrown 73 pitches.

Should he retire all 27 batters, the 41-year-old Colon will become the oldest player to throw a perfect game. Arizona’s Randy Johnson was 40 years, 8 months and 8 days old when he was perfect in 2004.

The Mets lead 2-0.
