It appears that Texas Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor will serve a shorter suspension than initially believed.

Following an appeal, Jon Heyman of MLB Network is reporting that Odor will be out for seven games rather than eight.

After an aggressive slide from Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista into second base on May 15, Odor punched the veteran slugger in the face prompting a benches-clearing brawl and leading to the suspension.

Shortly after the incident, Odor made it clear he had no regrets about how things went down.

The 22-year-old is hitting .262/.287/.444 on the season in 196 trips to the plate.
