The Atlanta Braves have reportedly signed free agent infielder Sean Rodriguez to a two-year deal worth more than $11 million, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

The news comes just one week after Rodriguez emerged as a possible fit for the Blue Jays and was thought to be a potential platoon partner for first baseman Justin Smoak.

The 31-year-old is a super-utility man, appearing in at least 10 games at first base, second base, third base, shortstop and in the outfield last season. Rodriguez played in 140 games in 2016 and hit a career-high 18 home runs, slashing .270/.349/.510 and picking up 56 RBI.

He joins R.A. Dickey and Bartolo Colon as experienced free agents who have made their way over to Atlanta to help lead a young Braves roster.
