The Tampa Bay Rays and Kevin Kiermaier are reportedly close on a six-year contract extension worth upwards of $50 million, according to multiple reports.
Kiermaier has won consecutive American League Gold Gloves as the top fielding centre-fielder in the AL.
The 26-year-old batted .246 last season with a .331 on-base percentage and a career-high 12 home runs.
He was eligible to become a free agent after the 2020 season.
More to come.
