The Miami Marlins are closing in on a record-setting deal with Giancarlo Stanton that would make the right fielder the highest-paid player in MLB history, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reported Friday.

If completed, the deal would span 13 years and pay Stanton $325 million, according to Heyman, who reports that a player opt-out clause and no-trade clause would also be included.

The contract would cover Stanton’s two final years of arbitration eligibility and 11 seasons of free agency, keeping him in Miami through his age 37 season.

Stanton, 25, led the National League with 37 home runs in 2014, earning a second-place finish in the NL MVP voting. He batted .288/.395/.555 while driving in 105 runs and hitting 31 doubles.

New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez set the current record for new money on a contract when he completed his ten-year, $275 million deal.
