Whether it’s Star Wars Day or Bring Your Dog to the Ballpark Day, it’s commonplace to see some strange sights now and again in Major League Baseball stadiums.

However, on Friday at the Washington Nationals game against the Los Angeles Dodgers there was a new sight to behold.

A Sharknado!

For those unfamiliar, Sharknado is a sci-fi film that has become a cult phenomenon. It stars Tara Reid and Ian Ziering and is about a tornado that lifts sharks out of the ocean and deposits them in Los Angeles.

Naturally, chaos ensues and sharks wreak havoc on poor Reid and Zeiring and their pals, just as the Sharknado mascot wreaked havoc on the popular Presidents Race at Nationals Park.
