Believe it or not pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report 19 days from now.
And judging by the buzz I’m hearing, seeing and reading on social media and through family and friends, many of you are considering making the trek down to Florida for Grapefruit League action for the first time.
As someone who’s been down as both a fan and in a working capacity, I’m pretty confident suggesting that if you do decide to go, you won’t regret it.
OK, so you’ve decided you’re heading down, now what?
You could probably use some tips on where to stay (Dunedin or Clearwater?), where to eat, where to park, what other ballparks to visit, and how best to go about getting an up close look at all of those new Blue Jays, just to name a few.
To help answer some of these questions — and any others you might have — I’ve enlisted a slew of Sportsnet Spring Training veterans including Shi Davidi, Jamie Campbell, Mike Wilner, Arden Zwelling and Dirk Hayhurst.
Got a question for them? Ask in the comments section below or using the hashtag #SNSpring on Twitter.
In a few days I’ll put the questions to the experts and soon after we’ll publish their responses in our Fan Guide to Spring Training.
Also be sure to check out the upcoming issue of Sportsnet Magazine for a complete guide to the Blue Jays fans’ ultimate road trip to spring training in Dunedin/Clearwater.
Tip No. 1: Brace your waistline for those American portion sizes.
