Twitter reaction: Bauer’s night cut short by bloody finger

Trevor Bauer had to leave the game for the Indians after his bleeding finger became too much for Blue Jays manager John Gibbons to bear. (Warning: Graphic content.)

Cleveland starting pitcher Trevor Bauer was forced to leave Game 3 of the American League Championship Series in the first inning after his stitched-up pinky finger started bleeding profusely.

Bauer injured his finger while working on his drone last Thursday, but insisted prior to Game 3 that he didn’t think it would be an issue.

But it only took 21 pitches before the blood started flowing and Bauer’s night came to an early end, prompting a wide range of reaction on Twitter.
