Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to debut with Blue Jays’ rookie ball affiliate

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is set to make his U.S. debut Thursday with the Bluefield Blue Jays, a rookie-advanced minor-league affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays.

The 17-year-old Blue Jays prospect is the son of former MLB star Vladimir Guerrero, who spent 16 big-league seasons with the Montreal Expos, Los Angeles Angels, Baltimore Orioles and Texas Rangers.

The Blue Jays signed Guerrero Jr. as an international prospect last season.
