Breakups are hard.

Just ask Chicago White Sox players Derek Holland and Carlos Rodon.

It was announced Thursday the White Sox had traded starting pitcher Jose Quintana to the Chicago Cubs in exchange for four prospects.

Quintana’s now-former teammates took to Instagram to show how they’re handling the split.

Set to Boyz II Men’s epic breakup song It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday, it’s a real tearjerker:

While we’ve come to the end of the road for Quintana and the White Sox, this serves as a good reminder you should never let real friendship pass you by.

Perhaps, one sweet day, these three will be reunited.
