NEW YORK — The New York Yankees and right-hander Scott Baker have agreed to a one-year minor league contract.

The 33-year-old Baker is 66-52 in 191 big league outings — 170 starts — for Minnesota, the Chicago Cubs and Texas. He has a 4.25 ERA and 831 strikeouts in 1,053 2-3 innings.
Baker had Tommy John surgery in 2012 and mostly pitched out of the bullpen last year for the Rangers.
