The Toronto Blue Jays announced Tuesday that they lost a relief pitcher for multiple weeks and will be without a member of the starting rotation for a few more days. Sportsnet’s Shi Davidi has the latest injury updates:
Meanwhile, the Blue Jays’ rotation remains in flux. Brandon Morrow won’t start Wednesday, as originally anticipated.
“I prepared all week to pitch (Wednesday) and I came in today with the intention of pitching (Wednesday),” Morrow said in a brief interview. “They told me they’re going to have me go Saturday, it’s a combination of wanting to make sure I was for sure, 100 per cent.
“It’s frustrating because I’m ready to go, I’m anxious to get back out there and it sucks sitting around and just waiting. It gives me a chance to throw another bullpen (Wednesday), to go at it a little more aggressively and throw all my pitches like a normal session.”
