Fast Break: Jacked up and in

Jarrett Jack lit up his old mates as the Raptors exploded but now they have a back-to-back to contend with.
Jarrett Jack draws a foul in the paint against the Pacers. In the event that there was any doubt the Toronto Raptors could score and put the ball in the hole, all you had to do was look at last night. The 74 points the hung up against Indiana in the first half was nudging up against the franchise-high 79 that happened back in 1997 in the 'swampland' of New Jersey.
And how bad did the Pacers look? There was some really bad body language and an attitude of "I'm getting' mine" where, as one of the people from Indiana watching said, "I guess ball movement is optional."
How about the performance of Jarrett Jack against his former team? Jack was a perfect seven of seven from the floor and notched a season-high 18 points. If your thinking it was an amazing performance, you're right, but it's not the first time it's happened for Jack. I spoke with him briefly getting off the plane when we touched down at about 2:15 a.m. and according to Jack, he's had a couple of nights like this before. There was one in high school where he was 8/8 and another night at Georgia Tech against Georgia where he was also 8/8 in a victory over the Bulldogs.
Marco Belinelli did a nice job off the bench last night scoring 11 points. He only made one field goal but was aggressive getting to the line converting on eight of 10 shots. Raptor fans would like to see that same aggressiveness from the bench tonight as energy can sometimes be an issue in the back-to-back games. As for Antoine Wright, at 2:40 a.m. walking slowly into the hotel, he described himself as "a little tender" in referencing his sore left ankle.
Tonight's opponent, the Charlotte Bobcats, are off to a slow start as it always seems like it takes Larry Brown's teams a while to catch on to his teachings. To that end, it has been said that Brown has taken some sets out of the play book to make it easier on the new guys, Acie Law and the man who is helping in the scoring department, Stephen Jackson. The Bobcats are last in the NBA in scoring but have picked it up recently since the acquisition of Jackson.
By the sounds of it, Chris Bosh could be facing Tyson Chandler tonight as Chandler could be returning from the inactive list after missing a couple of games with lower back spasms. Chandler, known for his defense, has been a tough match up for Bosh. It will be interesting to see how Bosh performs coming off a subpar shooting performance in last night's win where he posted his league leading 12th double double but was only 5 of 19 from the floor.
A look around the league has me wondering if New Jersey will ever win a game. I mean, I'm sure they will but they are sitting at 0-14 right now (the NBA record for futility is 0-17) and are still out on the road for four more games against Portland, Sacramento and the Lakers before coming home to play Dallas. A record of 0-18 is staring them squarely in the face.
Tell me it's not true that the Boston Celtics have talked about possibly adding Allen Iverson to the mix. Did they not see how past chemistry experiments have ended with A.I? I would just say roll with what you got, and don't touch it.
