On the heels of another embarssing defensive effort, Toronto Raptors players are criticizing head coach Jay Triano’s decision-making.

On Wednesday night in Atlanta, the Raptors lost their fifth straight game in a 146-115 blowout loss to the Atlanta Hawks.

The 146 points given up were the second-most in franchise history.

In Thursday’s Toronto Star, more than one player called out Triano for failing to keep certain players accountable for their defensive shortcomings.

"Every time something happens it's always, `It's okay, it's all right.' It's not all right," Jarrett Jack told the newspaper. "Problems go by without attacking them or challenging them or bringing them to the forefront and getting them solved. We can't keep keep putting them to the back of the bus and just saying, `That's okay.' It's not all right. Everybody can't walk on eggshells around here and say, `We're playing good basketball.' We're not."

Forward/guard Antoine Wright didn’t play Wednesday but he also chimed in on Triano. "You've got to address (the defensive issues) and you've got to show people on tape. It's not personal. If you want to win, you're going to have to make some sacrifices."

He added Triano has failed to "call out" some Raptors because unnamed teammates are "too sensitive" to criticism.

Chris Bosh, who scored a season-low two points on Wednesday, was equally critical of the team’s performance.

"I mean, tonight was just a total embarrassment," said Bosh. "We couldn't stop anybody. We haven't stopped anybody all year."

On the eve of the one-year anniversary of his firing as Raptors coach, Sam Mitchell spent the night watching his former team play his hometown Hawks from the second row.
