Unless you count yourself among the lucky thousands few to have read this post in the past hour, you missed out on a Pulitzer-worthy entry debating the merits of whether we should be hoping to see Kevin Durant suit up tonight.
Alas, now that Doug Smith has tweeted a knee injury will keep the Thunder superstar out of tonight's game against the Raptors at the ACC, it's a moot point.
As we had discussed earlier, our chances of winning have certainly risen exponentially with the Thunder now missing its best player, but Durant only comes to town once a year and he might be the most exciting talent in the game today.
Our dream scenario saw Durant suiting up and scoring 50-something points in a losing effort tonight, but that's now as likely as us getting another table at Real Sports anytime soon (we had no idea there was a strict no-tank-top policy).
And since this is really a lost season anyway, we were quite willing to sacrifice a unlikely possible 'W' tonight in exchange for the chance to watch one of the best in the business up-close.
Of course, there is still another 6'3" reason why the Thunder is such a sexy team these days and it's third-year point guard Russell Westbrook.
With Durant out Wednesday, Westbrook stepped up to score 38 points while grabbing a career-high 15 rebounds with nine assists in an OT win over the New Jersey Nets.
Not a good sign.
Jay Triano is clearly smitten.
"A highlight film. He can do anything," Triano told CP about Westbrook. "He goes past everybody. He goes over top of people. He's one of the best physical specimens in the game right now."
As for the Raps, we're looking forward to seeing how young Theo Huxtable Ed Davis follows up his impressive 11-point, six-rebound, two-block debut on Wednesday.
We're fighting the urge to compare his potential to become a Camby-like presence in the paint, but at least we know this after one game of his NBA career: He is no Rafael Araújo.
Reasons for panic concern:
-- The Thunder have won eighth straight road games against the Eastern Conference.
-- Thunder No. 2 scorer Westbrook is averaging 24.6 PPG.
-- No. 3 scorer Jeff Green is averaging 19.2 PPG.
-- We have been terribly inconsistent this year and smoked Washington last time out. Draw your own conclusions.

Runway Report: Heat 118, Cavs 90
The atmosphere in Cleveland Thursday night was dynamite, but the result was depressing. And although we would never condone physical violence, don't you feel like LeBron somehow got off easy?
We're not suggesting he should have been attacked or harmed, but had a fan offered LeBron a sip out of their nearly-completed beer cup as he walked into the tunnel after the game, but it accidentally fell out of their hands and onto his head, would that have been so bad?
Just saying.
Speaking of last night, our man Paul Jones shares his thoughts here on what went down in Ohio.
New nickname for Bosh?
We loved the "Scot-tie, Pip-pen" chants the Cavs fans serenaded LeBron with in his return to Cleveland and it got us thinking: Does that then make Chris Bosh Horace Grant?
It's actually an insult to Grant, who has several rings to show for his hard work and maturity, but Bill Cartright, Bill Wellington and Luc Longley don't quite roll off the tongue as nicely in a chant.
