You have to feel some owners are saying, "this is why we need the system changed," or at least trying to spin the seemingly imminent takeover of the New Orleans Hornets by the NBA to their advantage.
Regardless of how you look at it, it's not good that the league has to rrun one of its franchises.
Alright, here is my simplistic solution and I haven't looked into all the particulars, but it was a shame that the Hornets left Charlotte in the first place.
Just think of how successful the franchise might be with one of the league's most exciting and popular players, a Wake Forest guy no less, Chris Paul, in the lineup. But now that Charlotte has the Bobcats and Oklahoma City has shown they can support a team, wouldn't it be nice to give the Hornets to Oklahoma City, where they lived when Hurricane Katrina temporarily moved them out of the Big Easy and then put a team back in the Northwest, say Seattle or Vancouver.
It doesn't sound like commissioner David Stern will ever go back to Vancouver, but you know what, they should. They should go back to Vancouver before they think about Mexico City, Europe, Asia or any place else.

Here's an interesting rumous.
Now many of you know I hate to do the fantasy/speculation stuff, but Cleveland has been having problems and they, like Toronto, do have a huge trade exception. And of course, Philadelphia is denying.
This is why rumours are tough to decipher.
Yes, where there's smoke there's fire, but the fire could have been put out a long while back while the smoke could just be residual.

The NBA is getting what it wants in some sense as the New York Knicks are relevant once again. With the win over Toronto on Sunday, the Knicks have won seven straight on the road for only the fourth time in franchise history and are sitting with a 12-9 record.
Assistant general manager Allan Houston says all you have to do is point to Amare Stoudemire. High praise for Stoudemire as Houston says he is having an impact on the franchise similar to that of Patrick Ewing.

OK, all the "I-told-you-so-people," are going to come out of the woodwork with reports that Allen Iverson may be ready to leave his Turkish team.
True he's not the same guy as he once was, heck if he was, he'd still be in the NBA. But just remember, the games are very, very different when you compare the NBA game to the international one.
Remember Brandon Jennings, although more mature now than the high school kid that went to Europe, couldn't get on the floor. He sure seems like a different guy after a season-plus in the NBA, doesn't he?
