ORLANDO, Fla. -- The agent for Magic forward Brandon Bass says Orlando is close to finalizing a trade that will send his client to Boston in exchange for Celtics' forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis.
Bass' agent Tony Dutt confirmed the deal to The Associated Press Friday.
Bass is entering his seventh NBA season and averaged a career-high 11.2 points and 5.2 rebounds last year in his second season with the Magic. He started 51 of the 76 games he appeared in.
Davis has played all four years of his career with Boston and averaged 11.7 points and 5.5 rebounds last season, starting 13 of 78 games.
The move could be the first by Orlando to beef up the roster around centre Dwight Howard, who can opt out of his contract in July.
