Andy Greer has left his post as Toronto Raptors assistant coach to join the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he will serve as head coach Tom Thibodeau’s top assistant, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
Greer, 53, has a longstanding relationship with Thibodeau, who was hired in April as Timberwolves head coach and president of basketball operations. The two were assistants with the Houston Rockets and when Thibodeau was head coach of the Chicago Bulls, he hired Greer as an assistant.
Greer has also worked as an assistant with the Memphis Grizzlies and was a scout for the Portland Trail Blazers.
