LOS ANGELES — Austin Rivers will keep playing for his father with the Clippers.

Rivers agreed Saturday to stay in Los Angeles, where Doc Rivers’ son was the backup to point guard Chris Paul.

Austin Rivers’ agency, ASM Sports, sent a tweet congratulating the No. 10 pick in the 2012 draft on a deal that Yahoo Sports reported was for three years and more than $35 million.

Rivers is coming off his most productive season, averaging 8.9 points in 67 games. He started the final two games of the Clippers’ first-round loss to Portland after Paul broke his right hand in Game 4.
