Canadian high school star Andrew Wiggins picked up yet another honour on Wednesday.
After being selected as the winner of the Naismith Prep Player of the Year earlier this month, the Huntington Prep star has been named the 2012-13 Gatorade National Boys Basketball Player of the Year as well.
The 6-foot-8, 215-pound senior forward averaged 23.4 points, 11.2 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 2.5 assists per game this past season, leading the Express to a 30-3 record and a No. 7 spot in the USA Today Super 25 national rankings.
The Thornhill, Ont. native is expected to decide soon where he will attend college. Wiggins is deciding between Florida St., Kentucky, North Carolina and Kansas.
Previous winners of the award include Miami Heat forward LeBron James (2001-02, 2002-03), Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant (1995-96) and Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love (2006-07).
