Los Angeles Lakers new point guard Steve Nash received a warm welcome from the fans in L.A. in the form of a cold beer on the highway.

In a viral video that was posted Saturday, Nash is seen riding in a cab when a group of young males in a nearby car noticed the two-time National Basketball Association MVP.

They proceed to hand the Canadian — who was the one filming the encounter — a can of beer while both cars were driving at high speeds on a Los Angeles highway.

Some have said they believe this to be a video from a viral ad campaign, but a second video seems to validate it as a spontaneous act between the two parties.

At the end of the video, Nash turns the camera onto himself and says, “Fans seem pretty good to me so far.”
