Former No. 1 pick and Canadian forward Anthony Bennett has officially joined Turkish basketball team Fenerbahce.
Bennett, a former member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Toronto Raptors, was waived by the Brooklyn Nets on Monday before joining the Turkish giants.
The 23-year-old averaged just five points and 3.4 rebounds in 23 games with the Nets this year. Bennett averaged 4.4 points in four NBA seasons, which is the lowest among first-overall picks in the shot-clock era, according to Basketball Reference.
