Gotta See It: Jonas Valanciunas arrives at camp in beat-up car

Eric Smith and Michael Grange discuss what C.J. Miles adds to the Toronto Raptors and the plan for Jonas Valanciunas.

Toronto Raptors centre Jonas Valanciunas went back to his old stompin’ grounds this NBA off-season, and apparently back to his old car, too.

His very old car.

The 25-year-old Lithuanian showed up to national team camp on Friday morning in a rusty, dusty old Audi that’s about as old as he is—and, clearly, a sense of humour to go with it.

Local basketball reporter Donatas Urbonas took a photo of Valanciunas pulling up in the old car and shared it to Twitter, where it’s been making the rounds.

Let’s take a look inside, thanks to some more photos from reporter Žygimantas Vingelis…

We don’t know the story behind these wheels, but we’re definitely intrigued.

How ’bout those seat covers?

Valanciunas’ four-year, $64-million deal pays him an average salary of $16 million a year. But these photos? They’re priceless.
